Suggestion: We suggest that the National Council creates a musical body, to look after these talented young children, by providing them with additional music lessons or guidance, organizing group outings to various cultural and musical performances and granting prizes to the best performers. It can also sponsor the participation expenses of the best students to pan-Armenian events, in Armenia or elsewhere.

During 2008 the English version of Azad-Hye had 632.351 visitors, with a monthly average of 52.695 and a daily average of 1.732 visitors.
The peak month was May 2008 with 67.532 visitors.
Azad-Hye Arabic and Business versions had thousands of additional visitors.

The most read article in Azad-Hye is about Dubai based MBC TV presenter and make-up artist Joelle Mardinian. Her article had about 28.000 reading hits in less than three years.

What are the documents required for applying the citizenship?
Diaspora Armenians need to secure the following documents for their applications:
Note: The documents either should be in Armenian or translated into Armenian language.
1- Handwritten request addressed to the President of the Republic of Armenia H.E. Serzh Sargsyan, signed by the applicant himself/herself, where explicit desire is expressed in applying for the citizenship, with a brief note about the reasons and motivation behind it.
2- Application form (see form in PDF format below). The form could be collected from the Embassy (see Embassy contact details below)

The Armenian Community in the United Arab Emirates
On Friday, 05 March 2009, the Northern Emirates Artistic Committee organized an unprecedented Armenian Karaoke night in the presence of 150 attendants (30 teenagers and 120 adults), who clearly enjoy and cherish the Armenian song.
After the welcome speech by the committee head Berge Tosounian, the microphone was passed on to the well-known singer Norair Kazanjian, who was also the presenter for the entire evening. He first explained that the word “Karaoke” is a Japanese word that means “an empty orchestra”, and announced that this was the first time he participates in an Armenian Karaoke. Read more
